This survey is now closed. Thank you to everyone who completed it. Next survey coming soon!
Every movement begins with people coming together around a shared belief.
A conversation. A sense that things could be different. A group of people deciding they will no longer stay silent about injustice.
That’s how change starts.
Not all at once. But person by person. Voice by voice. Community by community.
The disability rights movement in Aotearoa has always been built by people who dared to imagine a more inclusive future — and worked collectively to make it possible.
Finding Common Ground is part of that story.
Together, we are building a shared Declaration of Disabled Peoples’ Rights in Aotearoa New Zealand.
But for this declaration to truly reflect our communities, we need as many voices involved as possible.
We’re calling on organisations, advocates, whānau, and community leaders across Aotearoa to help amplify this kaupapa.
